Texas Lottery makes history with ‘receipt ticket’ https://sbcamericas.com/2020/07/24/texas-lottery-makes-history-with-receipt-ticket/ As reported by Texan news outlet KRIS 6 NEWS, the Texas Lottery Commission has announced that cash register paper will be used to print Powerball and Mega Millions tickets, thus making it easier for players to purchase lotto tickets. Valid while visiting the Business Centers of participating Texas H-E-B stores and referred to as a receipt ticket, the move sees Texas become the first state in the US to offer players the opportunity to include lotto tickets on their receipts. The new receipt tickets can be purchased at any H-E-B Business Center cash register, with Quick Pick numbers printed directly on the receipt along with a lottery barcode. Gary Grief, executive director of the Texas Lottery, spoke to KRIS 6: “Texas continues to break ground with ‘in-lane’ lottery solutions that provide our players direct access to the games they love in the most convenient ways possible. “These tickets look different than any other that the Texas Lottery has ever produced, as they are the first lottery tickets ever printed on cash register receipt paper rather than on lottery rollstock by a dedicated lottery terminal.” The receipt tickets will be valid until the next available Powerball or Mega Millions drawing, with the barcode on the tickets able to be scanned using the Texas Lottery App where its winning status can be checked. via SBC Americas https://sbcamericas.com July 24, 2020 at 09:44PM https://gametoping.com
